Nestled in the Pembrokeshire National Park, a few miles from St David’s, Solva is a delightful little village split into two separate areas, Upper Solva and Lower Solva.

Lower Solva occupies the narrow river valley at the end of Solva Harbour. It boasts a bustling quay with plenty to do. The charming streets offer a number of cafes, craft shops and galleries. A popular place for holidays you will find plenty of places for a lunch with spectacular views or with riverside gardens to relax in.

The nearest train station is in Haverfordwest although there is a good regular bus service to St Davids and Haverfordwest and the Puffin Shuttle coastal bus service will also take you to St Davids and other points on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

Solva provides easy access to Pembrokeshire’s award winning Blue Flag Beaches, and and array of walks with amazing views both on the Pembrokeshire National Coast Path and inland in the secluded valley.

The local Woollen Mill lies a mile upstream from the main village and produces some very distinctive fabrics. Well worth a visit. The original water wheel has been restored and there are a shop and cafe on the site.

Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi, the St David’s Peninsula Church in Wales VA School, is the Church’s first 3 to 16 school. It is spread over three campuses across the area, Non, Dewi and Aidan. The Aidan Campus is based in the village of Solva.

Nursery and reception are taught on the Aidan Campus Years 1 and 2 are taught on the Non Campus Years 3, 4 and 5 are taught on the Non Campus Years 6, 7 and 8 are taught on the Non and Dewi Campuses Years 9, 10 and 11 are taught on the Dewi and Aidan Campuses.
