Goodwick is a coastal town in Pembrokeshire, Wales, immediately west of its twin town of Fishguard. Fishguard and Goodwick form a community that wraps around Fishguard Bay.

Goodwick was the location in 1797 for the last invasion of Britain when the French landed at Carreg Wasted Point. Within Fishguard Town Hall is the 100ft long Last Invasion Tapestry which tells the story in a Bayeux tapestry style .

The town is well served by the Fishguard town service bus and regular bus routes connect it to St Davids, Haverfordwest, and Cardigan. The Strumble Shuttle and the Poppit Rocket coastal bus services also link the townalong the route of the Pembrokeshire coastal path.

The Fishguard and Goodwick railway station is located in Goodwick along with the Fishguard and Goodwick ferry terminal at the harbour. It is one of the major ferry Irish Sea routes crossing to Rosslare in Southern Ireland.

A small sandy beach lies adjacent to the ferry terminal. There’s a promenade above the top of the beach and a long breakwater that you can walk along. Dolphins, seals and basking sharks are occasionally seen off the beach as they swim around the harbour.

The calm waters of the bay are perfect for water based activities including fishing, kayaking, waterskiing, and sailing. The grassed area with its small play park, alongside the sandy beach at Goodwick Sands provides a safe space for children to play. The Yet y Gors fishery is situated just outside of Goodwick. Horseriders have a choice of riding stables in the area and the local leisure centre provides fitness and swimming facilities.

The community owned Theatr Gwaun in Fishguard shows a changing programme of films and live events. The range of musical events through the year makes this a great place for musical entertainment,

Goodwick has a few interesting pubs, cafés and restaurants and a fish and chip takeaway. A post office, chemist and general store serves the town.

Goodwick Community Primary School sits at the top of Stop and Call hill providing a bilingual education for approx. 125 pupils from 3-11 years old. The nearest secondary school is at Ysgol Bro Gwaun located in the twin town of Fishguard providing bilingual education for school Year 7-11 pupils
